One World One Dream.Yes,dream only lah!

Malaysia's First Gold in Olympics is not coming back with Chongwei but it is instead safely kept in the hands of Mr. Zero who is more than happy to be the guardian of this sacred piece of gold.

Congratulations to Lin Dan!

Anyhow Chong Wei did not really let us down. Well ok, he did not let ME down. My view cannot represent every single Malaysians' so let me just stress that Chongwei "DIDN'T LET ME DOWN. YES NOT ONE BIT!!!"

The Lee Chongwei we saw on teevee today is not the usual him. He is one stressed up man today, which I think is a pretty natural feeling that will be felt in every single Malaysian who has the chance to represent this country in the Olympics' final.

The pressure on him is even higher as he will become the FIRST Gold Medallist for the Malaysian Badminton team----if he made it just now.

Just imagine the stress, the lack of support, the homeground advantage and everything that he had to made without.

Yeah a champion will always be a champion no matter where they are or what condition they're in. But given a chance, will you people who criticizes Chongwei even make it to the finals?

At least he reap the fruit of his hard work and sacrifices-
TheSilver, and no, for your disappointment, it doesn't taste bitter AT ALL.

The game started off with Mr. Zero scoring the first point. And Chongwei looked undoubtedly nervous since the moment they walked in to the court. Mr. Zero was leading all the way, leaving Chongwei behind.

I can't clearly remember what really happened despite the fact that it's just an hour ago…

Fast forward, Zero scored the 20th point while our Chongwei is still at point number 9/10 I forgot! It seemed hopeless at one moment. But a second later, the little scoreboard on teevee alleged that Malaysia picked up the 11th point against China!

Secretly I was beaming with a little joy, hoping for miracles to miraculously make our dream come true. And boy miracles do listen if you pray hard!

Chongwei scored the 12th point! And then the ever so macho Mr. Zero had to go make things go awry T.T eventhough our Chongwei did his best to defend and fight back with all his might.

Between Zero and Chongwei, I personally cannot judge who is better as I’m not a regular badmintoner. But what I see in today’s game was,
Lin Dan was mentally more prepared and confident and not to forget, was obviously fitter and macho-er . While Chongwei, seemed to have lose something, something which has the ability to calm him and bring out the best in him.

It’s such a waste that Chongwei had let Lin Dan to grab hold of the gold with such an ease although Chongwei himself didn’t want to end it all so quickly, I bet. Lin Dan was
quick, harsh and sharp in his attack giving almost no chance for our dear Chongwei to launch even an attack. What Chongwei did was mostly defence.

Chongwei, if able to divert all pressure into full concentreation on the game and pull himself together, might be the one throwing racquet and shoes to the audience today. Well too bad for him he did not succed in pacifying his emotions.

Actually the second set is more thrilling to watch lah. The good 45 minutes I watched the game, my feet and hands were numb and cold as if I’m another Lee Chongwei.

Second set : Lin Dan leads all the way up to point number 8 when he finally let a point slip to Chongwei. In the 11th hour, Chongwei did nothing but his very best to make a comeback. Even Lin Dan who scored a safe 15 points looked a bit threatened with Chongwei’s determination and sudden control of the game.

But then again, Lady Luck is not so fond of him tonight and Mr. Zero managed to pull through and take over the game once again. I don’t know if it’s just me but I felt that from the moment Lin Dan scored point 15, Chongwei started to enjoy the game as he should’ve done earlier and just play without much pressure.

I feel that this is the reason that made Lin Dan’s 20th and 21st point harder to score because a calm Chongwei is the real Chongwei who can manage to beat the rest.

Chongwei didn’t lose to Lin Dan today. He lose to himself. The Chongwei we see today is someone who seemed lost in the arena even though his destination is only one
-Gold.

He did his best in handling everything- the stress and pressure from everybody, the hope he carried for the country, the China supporters he was faced with, his desire and his own dream. That is why none of us should blame him for he did Malaysia proud with a Silver that he gained with his hard work and determination.

At least, we manage to get a placing in the medal standings.

Eventhough I kept saying that Chongwei is defeated due to pressure and bla bla bla, he did not think so! With all due respect…

"I suffered a lot of pressure tonight but I do not want to use it as an excuse for my defeat," he said.

"I suffered a lot of pressure tonight but I "I have tried my best but Lin Dan played perfectly tonight," said Malaysian sport icon Lee.

"I couldn't match his shuttle speed. He was much stronger than me and controlled the whole match."

"At the end of the match it is not who is playing at a higher level, it is all about who is mentally stronger," Lee commented on his loss.

Let’s tepuk untuk Chongwei!
Sekali lagi!
Sekali!
Banyak banyak kaliiii!!!

And for Mr. Zero, I have nothing but also respect and admiration! *pretend to wear a hat and take hat off to put it on chest then bow a little*

As I have said typed, Lin Dan is QUICK in his moves, have STRONG WILLPOWER, FITTER BODY than Chongwei, SHARP minded and SUPPORTED BY HOMEGROUND fans and all these made him nothing but the Hero of the day. May he continue to soar in this field and have/be a great competitor like Chongwei, Susilo and bla bla bla*to hide my little knowledge of badminton*
